Mr. Wetsch is an Associate Professor of Marketing at Memorial University of Newfoundland with over 275 presentations and publications in the past 18 years. Through The Digital Academy (formerly the Digital & Social Media Program) he has designed and offered training in digital and social media for over the past decade.

In 2022, the program was renamed as The Digital Academy to recognize the increased scope to include artificial intelligence, augmented/virtual/extended reality, and the growth of social and virtual shopping. Training programs are delivered through a variety of formats with the focus on both recorded and synchronous online presentations. Custom client delivered programs tailored to the specific needs of organizations are also arranged.

As a Google Partner, his company Digital Marketing Consultants has assisted small, media and large businesses and organizations, as well as provincial and federal government departments with the development, design and implementation of the digital and social media strategic, tactical and audit plans.
